Salutations.
As we move into a new year, I, like many Americans will have New Year’s resolutions and aspirations for 2017. Unlike previous years, I’m committed to following through on these resolutions. One of the most important ones is the creation of OneAmericana.com.
What is OneAmericana.com?
OneAmericana.com is a platform for intellectual discussions regarding political, economic, social, educational and foreign policy matters. OneAmericana will focus and be influenced by the Realism school of thought and Western values. It will also serve as a platform for discussions on free-market and common sense policies designed to further the interest of the United States and all nations under its sphere.
Why OneAmericana.com?
Most Americans can agree that 2016 will go down as one of the most memorable years in world history. The US presidential elections and its outcome were one of the most significant events in history, not only because of who the victor was but for the significance, it will have on the future Supreme Court nominees, economic and immigration policies, national security and foreign relations.
The US experienced what can arguably be one of the most contested and divisive presidential elections ever. The elections brought to light a plethora of controversies that ranged from the suspected interference of foreign powers in the elections process, media collusion with one of the candidates, and a major news anchor publicly calling on the media to sabotage Mr. Trump’s campaign.
Through WikiLeaks, we found out that a major news network had its staff leak information to the Clinton camp ahead of debates, while other outlets allowed the Clinton staff to edit the content of their reporting before printing it out. This is media bias, plain and simple. You can’t sugarcoat a turd.
The general reporting during the US elections was very partisan, and arguably more favorable toward the Democratic candidate. Regardless of whether you’re a Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian or whatever affiliation, you may have. This kind of bias should concern all freedom loving Americans.
As I watched news reports from different news outlets, it became more and more frustrating that I couldn’t get straight news without bias. In all fairness, some networks and publications were more fair and balanced than others. The Wall Street Journal, for example, was fairer and more reliable than most.
I decided to create OneAmeircana.com to bring straight and unbiased reporting and talking points to the American public. One- Americana.com will act as a platform for intelligent discussion and critical thinking about the issues that matter to all Americans, without the spin. Respect and professionalism will be the guiding principles behind OneAmericana.com.
Welcome to OneAmericana.com
